It’s award season and finalists have been announced for the 13th annual NAVGTR awards, with Side having cast and directed nominees in each of the performance categories.

In the LEAD PERFORMANCE IN A COMEDY category Side produced two very different performances:  Stephen Greif as the “Narrator” in SCEE Japan’s Puppeteer and Joseph May as “Chase McCain” in TT Games’ Lego City Undercover. Both games also get nods for SUPPORTING PERFORMANCE IN A COMEDY with Nick Ellsworth as “Moon Bear King,” in Puppeteer, which Side also directed, and Trevor White as the very funny “Frank Honey,” in Lego City Undercover.

Side loves a strong leading lady and Kezia Burrows is doing it for the girls in the LEAD PERFORMANCE IN A DRAMA category (notably actresses dominate the list) as “Nilin” in Remember Me, cast and directed by SIde.

And finally, for what’s probably the best character name of the year, Side was delighted to secure Gavin & Stacey’s Steffan Rhodri as “Drippy” in Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Steffan is nominated for SUPPORTING PERFORMANCE IN A DRAMA. Side cast and directed the game with production including casting and recording the theme song, which itself has been nominated.

The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers is a non-profit media organization. Award nominees were selected by a group of 815 press voters. Side was involved in the production of six games up for awards, including Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (Ubisoft) and Ryse: Son of Rome (Microsoft).  The winners will be announced February 17. Good luck to all!
